MEMORABILIA
WonderBreastplate
Who among us can forget that great Wagnerian soprano, Berta Bazume and the fine figure
that she cut on the Metropolis Opera stage? She truly made a warrior long to spend an eternity
in Valhalla. What was her secret, you wonder?
Due to a generous donation from Ms. Bazume, one lucky fan of the Metropolis Opera will be
able to enjoy the costume that allowed Ms. Bazume to stand out amongst the Valkyries. A
one of a kind item, Ms. Bazume's WonderBreastplate is a marvel of costume design. Its
patented support system enhances decolletage while allowing the ribs enough freedom of
movement for singing even the most challenging Wagnerian arias.
Due to the unique nature of this item, The Opera Shoppe is pleased to
accept bids beginning on October 1, 1998. The WonderBreastplate will go to the
highest bid received by 10:00 AM EST on December 24, 1998.

MAGIC OF THE METROPOLIS OPERA
Stun Stiletto
Does your Carmen continue to caper? Desdemona disdains to die? The Opera
Shoppe has a solution for you.
We all know that a young diva is dying to sink her teeth into a good death scene.
Unfortunately these unseasoned singers seldom realize that you cannot bring down the house
unless you bring down the character first. The Opera Shoppe is pleased to offer you
a tool that can help to bring some order back into your production. Maestro Bruno Forza, the
first Musical Director of the Metropolis Opera, invented the ingenious Stun Stiletto, a
retractable blade stage prop with a twist. As the blade retracts upon striking the soprano a
low-level electric shock is discharged. Mild enough to be harmless, but it definitely lets the
soprano know that her stage time is limited. The Stun Stiletto is an indispensible prop
for any stage director who would like to recreate a little bit of that Metropolis Opera Magic.
Available only through The Opera Shoppe, this limited edition
reproduction is available through December 31, 1998 at a special price of $75.99
